Arnaldo Forni

It began its first steps in 1960 when its founder, Arnaldo Forni ( 1918 - 1983 ), a talented antiquarian , had the intuition that, to satisfy the needs of many who wanted to purchase ancient books that were increasingly expensive and rare or no longer present on the markets , it was necessary to reproduce them identically.

The anastatic reprint came to the aid of this simple intuition. Thus many works were republished which scholars could only access with difficulty by consulting them in libraries.

The catalog reached more than 3000 titles and the business, continued by the two daughters, reached the third generation.

The subjects were the most varied: from Art to Heraldry , from Dialectology to Folklore , from Bio - bibliography to Gastronomy , but the fundamental ones were Local History , Numismatics and Ancient Music .

This vast production was supported by constant bibliographic research in collaboration with university-level teachers.

The publishing house closed its doors in December 2017.
